How Laughter Yoga & Meditation Support You

Developed by Dr. Madan Kataria, founder of Laughter Yoga International, the practice uses intentional laughter to encourage relaxation, lift mood, reduce stress, and create a greater sense of connection and well-being.

  • Lifts Your Mood: Laughter can help your body release feel-good chemicals, including endorphins. This can help you feel happier, lighter, and more positive.

  • Helps Reduce Stress: Laughter can help lower the body’s stress response and reduce feelings of tension. After laughing, many people feel more relaxed and at ease.

  • Builds Emotional Resilience: Regular laughter can help you bring more playfulness and positivity into your life, making it easier to handle everyday challenges and stress.

  • Supports Better Breathing: Deep breathing and laughter help you take fuller breaths and bring more oxygen into your body. This can leave you feeling more awake and energized.

  • Supports Heart Health: Laughter gets your blood moving and may help your body relax. Some studies have found that regular laughter may help support healthy blood pressure.

  • Supports Your Immune System: Laughter and positive emotions may help support your body’s natural immune response and overall well-being.

  • May Help With Pain and Tension: Laughter can encourage the release of endorphins, your body’s natural feel-good chemicals. This may help you feel more relaxed and reduce the feeling of everyday tension or discomfort.

What People Are Saying

“Leasa didn’t just facilitate laughter yoga—she gently guided a full room of mostly first- timers into joy with calm confidence and heart. We laughed hard, released deeply, and settled into a beautiful meditation that left me feeling lighter, grateful, and open. I walked out with my soul full and my nervous system smiling—very Tenderheart Bear energy.”

— Rose

“I hadn’t done anything like this before and was honestly hesitant to try. I was all over the place at the time, with where I was in my life, where I came from, and who I wanted to be. Leasa gave me the space to talk through it all and helped me focus on what I needed most at the time, even though I had no idea when I first reached out to her!”

— Eleni

“I had an amazing experience with Leasa. I can’t express enough how Leasa helped me get through some terrible traumas. I highly recommend this program or any of Leesa’s services to everyone.”

— Amanda
