These Terms are intended to be clear and straightforward. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or protections you may have under applicable consumer protection or other laws.

2. Nature of Services

Becoming Soulful's services are offered for wellness, personal development, self-exploration, relaxation, and spiritual or energetic purposes.

My services are not medical, psychiatric, psychological, or emergency services, and they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental health condition.

I am not a physician, psychologist, psychiatrist, psychotherapist, or other regulated healthcare professional by virtue of operating Becoming Soulful.

Information or experiences provided through this website or during a Becoming Soulful service should not be understood as medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other regulated healthcare advice.

If you have a medical condition, mental health concern, or other health-related issue requiring professional care, you should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Becoming Soulful services are not a substitute for professional medical or mental healthcare.

3. Individual Experiences and Results

Every person's experience with Becoming Soulful is different.

I do not guarantee any particular emotional, energetic, spiritual, psychological, physical, or life outcome from participating in a service.

Any examples of possible experiences, benefits, insights, or transformations described on this website are intended for general informational purposes and are not promises or guarantees of a particular result.

You remain responsible for your own decisions, choices, and actions before, during, and after participating in a Becoming Soulful service.

4. Booking and Payment

Services may be booked directly through the website or by contacting Becoming Soulful.

Prices, service descriptions, duration, location, and availability will be displayed on the website or communicated to you before your booking is confirmed.

Payment may be required at the time of booking.

Payments made online are processed through third-party payment provider Stripe. Becoming Soulful does not collect or store your complete payment-card information.

By submitting a booking or payment, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

For individual sessions and other services where a cancellation policy is specified:

With at least 24 hours' notice

You may:

  • Cancel your appointment and receive a full refund; or

  • Reschedule your appointment to another available time.

With less than 24 hours' notice

Because appointment times are reserved specifically for you, cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may result in the session fee being forfeited.

If you are unable to attend due to an unexpected emergency or circumstances outside your reasonable control, please contact me as soon as possible. Such situations may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Any cancellation or refund rights provided by applicable consumer protection legislation remain unaffected by this policy.

6. Laughter Meditation

Laughter Meditation is a guided, in-person group experience offered at the studio at Fully Align Studio.

The public Laughter Meditation experience is not a traditional Laughter Yoga class. It is a guided experience involving breath, relaxation, playful imagery, laughter, stillness, and integration.

Participants are encouraged to participate only to the extent that they feel comfortable.

If you have any medical or physical concerns about participating in laughter, breathwork, lying down, or physical relaxation practices, you should consult an appropriate healthcare professional before participating.

7. Laughter Yoga and Private Events

Private Laughter Yoga experiences may be available for groups, workplaces, retreats, wellness events, and other private gatherings.

Private Laughter Yoga bookings are subject to separate arrangements regarding availability, duration, location, group size, pricing, payment, cancellation, and other event-specific requirements.

These details will be discussed and agreed upon before a private event is confirmed.

8. Participation and Personal Responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether a particular service is appropriate for you.

You should communicate any relevant physical limitations, accessibility needs, or concerns that may affect your ability to participate safely in an experience.

You are encouraged to listen to your body and participate only in ways that feel appropriate and comfortable for you.

You may stop participating in an activity at any time.

If you experience significant physical or emotional distress during a service, you should stop participating and seek appropriate professional assistance when necessary.

10. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the Becoming Soulful name, branding, logos, website design, written content, photographs, graphics, videos, audio recordings, meditations, original materials, and other content provided through the website are owned by or licensed to Becoming Soulful and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

  • Modify or create derivative works from original Becoming Soulful content

  • Use the Becoming Soulful name, branding, or logo in a way that suggests an unauthorized affiliation or endorsement

13. Website Availability and Security

I make reasonable efforts to keep the website available and functioning properly, but I do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors or technical problems.

Website availability may occasionally be affected by maintenance, technical issues, third-party service interruptions, internet connectivity, or circumstances outside my reasonable control.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Becoming Soulful and Leasa Arsenault will not be responsible for losses or damages arising from your use of the website or participation in a service where such loss or damage results from circumstances outside my reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or limit any consumer rights or other statutory rights that apply to you.

15. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, liabilities, or reasonable expenses arising from your intentional misuse of the website, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person's rights.

This section does not apply to the extent that the applicable claim results from conduct or circumstances for which Becoming Soulful is legally responsible.

16. Privacy

Your use of this website is also governed by the Becoming Soulful Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected.

The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms by reference.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the applicable laws of Canada.

Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms or your use of the website will be subject to the applicable laws and courts of Nova Scotia, subject to any mandatory rights or protections provided by applicable law.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unenforceable, or unlawful, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
